Dealing with a Guy Friend
There’s this guy friend I’ve had which is the first guy friend I’ve ever had. So I’m new to this hanging out with one individual guy friend is there a way to tell him kindly that I don’t really like hanging out with him constantly? By constantly I mean like once a month. Cause I barely hang out with my girl friends. But I feel more comfortable hanging out with them than with that guy friend. Especially, since I feel like he’s catching feelings for me which is something I REALLY HOPE IS NOT happening. Sometimes I feel like my guy friend can’t comprehend some of the things I can and can’t do and for what reason. For example: my parents don’t allow me to hangout with guys to late or go out with them somewhere far away. Also, I really dislike the fact that I feel like most of the time I’m caring the whole damn conversation throughout our hangout which is tiring af. Which really makes me regret hanging out with him at the very end of the day because it can get awkward if they’re a long pause. I’m not really even close with him. But I really don’t like hanging out with him tbh :( I’m too introverted for this shit but also don’t want to ruin another guy friendship.
Have you tried openly talking to him about how you feel about your friendship? If you are the only one trying to have a conversation and engage it can be very cumbersome to deal with.
