Fav genre/subgenre besides the most common ones?
Besides liking hetero romance, BL, GL and such: What is your favourite genre or subgenre rather when it comes to stories? And WHY do you like it?
I personally have always been a sucker for shounen with action (maybe some comedy), that's why I am such a fan of Wind Breaker (watch it, now), BnHA or older stuff like Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. There's just something great about watching epic fights in animated format. <3
Delinquent or general combat anime are just super interesting to look at (can absolutely recommend Wind Breaker btw, great fight choreo!) and if it has an element of life lessons being learned, growing as a person or even some comedy, it's just perfect for me.
even apart from the good ones, there's just something about those overhyped generic action webtoons i'm afraid i'm actually addicted to them. the plot is usually ass, the mc is over powered as fuck for no reason, there's a trail of women behind him but i eat them up all the same lmao. i think i just like turning my brain off sometimes to read stuff...... 1 reply
I freaking LOOOOOVEEEE psychological manga. It's so good. I'm so into it that I have a whole Instagram highlight dedicated to mini manga reviews on all of the psychological comics I read. They're so good because the seinen/psychological genre is typically made to eradicate the surface-level views on society and relationship dynamics. I love things ...... reply

I love isekai I'm sorry I see the potential I can look through the layers upon layers of shit and find a small beautiful core. I long for the day Japanese isekai frees itself from its current state and blossoms into the beautiful genre it could be.
