Romantic partners and yaoi/romance manga
How many of you have partners? Do they know you read smut, specifically yaoi? Are they ok with it? If you don't have a partner would you be ok with it in a romantic relationship?
I recently got a partner, they don't know about me reading yaoi but I can't tell if I should stop because I'm in a committed relationship now. I don't feel guilty or anything, but regardless I won't tell them so we can't discuss it and I'm unsure if it matters or not.
I am married. He knows what i like. I dont read it around him but i tell him about the really interesting stories. If youre planning on being with them forever then you should let them know how crazy you are before committing. If they cant accept you then they aint the one. reply
I dated someone who knew I read yaoi/yuri lol. they were pretty chill with it. Probably because I knew them as my friend first so I already aired out all my weirdness to them 1 reply
I think everyone is my life knows (save my parents) I read yaoi/yuri, that's because I do it ethically and view it as any other romance instead of extra romanticizing shit just because it's two coochies or dick. I also read dark romance (ironically) for that balance.
