how was your 2020
i was just a teenager playing animal crossing on android (i also discovered this site that year). it felt like the world was on a break, and everything was slow, at least for me. i loved having all the time to practice violin and piano every day. i loved that the streets were nearly empty. it was just me and my bicycle, with no crowds around.
five years later, i'm in my 20s, my balding, stressed ass just counting the days until graduation. nows a good time to reminisce that part of my life
i feel guilty for saying that i miss it because i know many people lost their lives and jobs, my older sister comes home exhausted from working overnight, and i remember the hospitals were always full.
i do not miss it ;; i wasn't great at processing my emotions/needs and ended up going through my toughest academic years with little support, high isolation, just trying to escape as much as possible;;; there was also a lot of added stress from the BLM police brutality stuff;;; and sometimes i still think of how crazy the tv in the other room made ...... reply
