Pet peeves

Literally one of my biggest pet beeves in bl is when there's a side story after they get together where one of them obsesses over getting a couple's ring and he literally neglects his boyfriend making them feel like shit not replying and ignoring them and lying where he is and what he's doing and getting caught and making them doubt him and their relationship while he's working 2 jobs and exhausting himself only for a couple's ring

And then the big reveal when he gives the ring like boom "I was working myself to death and neglecting you for this piece of jewelry that I could've waited a bit and saved up for slowly bcs it's not necessary pls feel good Abt this"

and it's a funny "haha you thought I don't love you but I actually love you so much I bought you a ring that I rushed to buy" and I know the symbolism and meaning of a ring and it is sweet but am I crazy or actually spending quality time with ur boyfriend and saving up slowly is... Okay.... sorry maybe I'm just nitpicky but it genuinely annoys me
