Whats wrong with the world
Today I saw a man lying in the street… he seemed to be a drug addict but still I was worried so I wanted to call for help…my brother on the other hand didn't because “you can't save everyone” and was worried about missing the bus. I got angry because that's a rlly sick way to excuse not possibly helping someone/saving someone's life. Come on I'm not giving him a leg. Idk I always try to help people whenever I can and it's so infuriating when things like this happen. Like hello ever heard of the bystander effect?? Maybe I overreacted but this isn't the first time I tried to help someone and everyone ignored them…whatever, as I'm typing this I see the ambulance so I hope that man got the help he needed…(I pray there's still hope in humanity cause wtf.)

You mentioned drug addict and they could potentially harm you, still that's nice enough of you to want to help. It's also shitty these ppl who just wants to help people get called "hero s...... 1 reply

I think it’s really admirable you wanted to help him! Empathy is such an important trait to have, and it’s really cool you wanted to even post this :)
algorithms and modern society have conditioned us to live in fear of each other because of horror stories we’ve seen or heard- and when we see people suffering, it’s easier to turn the other...... 1 reply
