Ik this site might be odd to ask for help/advice but i refuse to touch reddit anyways, my mother has been hiding my eye drops and eye medication from me these past few days all because I chose to study rather than cook her dinner, I really need my eye stuff and I can't get new ones because I need proof that my current drops and meds are all finished, I've tried apologising to her but she still refuses to give me my stuff saying that even if I'm an adult I still need to learn the consequences of my actions like hello?? I'm gonna go fucking blind here?? I called my optometrist but she was useless so this is my last resort I'm so scared cuz my eyes have been hurting a lot what do i do
Maybe try to get other members of your family (your dad, a sibling, an aunt, etc) to be your ally and for them to empathize with your story. The good outcome would be that they complain to your mom or even if they are not too agressive about it, the discussion and the fact that her behavior is being highlighted might guilt-trip your mom into stoppi...... reply
Honestly I'm no professional so I can't advice you on the eye stuff, best to research abt that in Google than asking people but what I can say the last resort is to confront your mom. If you go blind, it's her responsibility to take care of you. Also you're an adult now, you have alot of responsibilities than to cook for her always. I'd get it if s...... reply
Okay, so this is definitely the wrong answer but, if my step mom disrespected me like that, I might just have to fight.
Anyway call the cops, I've had abusive partners and it's worked for me in the past to just tell the cops I'm being abused and my partner stole XYZ from me.
They usually get it back or detain the partner before getting back my poss...... 2 reply
