for any romance fans, but specifically bl/yaoi, how do you think tiktok affects your reading experience/ community experience.
I just got done reading the most recent chap of Hounds of Sisyphus, and the comments were actually boiling my blood. It's full of people jumping to conclusions, calling it toxic, calling guwon a red flag, etc etc, as if we haven't barely started the story.
ive found that on very popular stories that skyrocketed from tiktok, have readers that don't understand nuance and grey area. hell not to bring up the pornhwa, Mr A's Farm, but it has the SAME THING in a way. not in the same way but, in the sense that it has people THAT DONT THINK in the comments section.
I love jokes, theories, and opinions in the comment section, but ehen its the same comment over and over again its really really annoying.
I also can't stand people constantly complaining in a comment section like with JINX. like ik its a terrible story. but filling up the comment section with "wow this is ass" doesnt do ANYTHING like i want to see people discussing the content rather than outright complaining.
It's like the joke "woke-joshi" and "trad-joshi" you can't read anything new and popular without seeing condemnation over the author and readers moral character I the comments section over the one of the most semi morally grey tamest story ever

I do agree that most of the comments on this site are repetitive as hell but tbh I don't think that people are coming to mangago of all places to have thoughtful conversations plus most of the manhwa on this site that became popular on tiktok is porn which isn't the most thought-provoking material anyways 2 reply
God, I think tiktok bas been the downfall of everything, people are just getting dumber and stupider everyday, with the worst takes ever, and I do think that's all tiktok's fault

I agree with you except for the part about people constantly complaining. Some stories are absolute dog shit and deserve nothing but that. I'm not going to write a literary analysis and spend more time thinking about something than the author themselves did, especially when it's 90% porn. No you are so right and I think your thoughts are valid! luckily for me, I am able to form my opinions on the media I consume after experiencing it for myself. Sadly not everyone (especially people on the internet) has the mental capacity to do so. Tick tock doesn't directly affect me because I don't have it. The only way it affects me is through idiots. Anyway. Bruh tic tok and Instagram BL community is ASS. They only hype up gooner shit, which is either ENTIRELY SMUT like each page has smut smut AND more smut, or its toxic AF.
