So what do y'all think about the Shutline and Flashlight plagiarism drama? Tbh I don't know much about it, just saw some things on twitter the other day and now I stumbled upon a thread with similarities between the two series ---> https://x.com/shutline4ever/status/1947983230201667659?t=MaZLEVyw4_stYeUALDGpgA&s=19 And as a reader of both, I haven't really noticed anything while reading but my brain kinda shuts off while reading yaoi and both of them have their fair share of usual BL tropes so I didn't clock shit
Shutline fans need to shut up about this plagiarism shit because it's very obvious that they haven't read a lot of manhwas. Common tropes will always be recycled in BLs and that doesn't mean it's plagiarism.
So many guardian bottom x incompetent beautiful top trope has been popping up these days and all the characters are similar in personalities a...... reply
