Memories are a luxury.
I assume a good chunk of people have probably heard the whole “trauma blocking” memories from your childhood, and it really made me think of all the times I can’t look back on. Only pictures, which more so show a pause in the moment over the actual moment itself, and the fact that many of my childhood places (like abandoned plants, small churches, and playgrounds) in my little town probably have a high chance of being demolished in the future. but I am wondering if anyone else agrees.
Yes I agree, the entirety of the covid lockdown is forgotten to me, it's like there's a 2 year long gap in my memory for that period of time when I'm pretty sure I had so much fun staying at home... I wish I could remember it like it was such an important experience as well for our generation and when I'm older if my kids ask me about it I can't ev...... reply
for me, it's my childhood mall, it used to be filled to the brim with people. It was so lively, i couldn't even hear my dad screaming at me. Now it's empty, there's only a few stores open （/TДT)/ i also had this part of my childhood where i just refused to touch my body because it felt gross ; it made sense only now because i was a COSCA victim reply
