Help me out

When this bad weather finally calms, I'll try applying for jobs. One of the works I'll be trying to is being a staff in a general merch store. The thing is when I go there to buy stuff, I noticed that they don't wear any watches and there are no clocks. A person working there I asked me once abt the time so there I confirmed that they couldn't wear anything like watch. That I understand. Okay. But how tf could they know if it's lunch break or time to go home?? If ever I get hired, that's one of the things I'll always think. I couldn't exactly ask customers always bt time. So help me out here how to do this should I buy pocket watch lmao
