Did I stan the wrong person....
I just found out my first K-pop bias, the one who introduced me to the genre and meant so much to me, became an ambassador for Coca-Cola—a company known to support Is***l. It’s making me pause and think: is he unaware of the issue, or does he not see a problem with the association?
this is kind of nuanced because kpop idols are regular people too and don't know everything, they can be unaware of that association buttt, especially in this time of conflict, idk how clueless you can be. so there might be some complicity there. that's why i cant idolize celebrities, you don't know them. 2 reply
Ig they simply didn't know because they just don't really care about the issue.
However, this made me remember about a female Idol who 'proudly' support LGBTQ. Yet, expresses disgusted words towards newly debuted idol groups who bring a genderless concept where they can express themselves freely without the boundary between male and female.

I mean why are we shocked they are ppl that are just like the rest of the celebrities kpop idols are not different ,who wants to get rich from making ads to big companies that support whatever that thing is some(most) celebrities don’t give a fuck seriously, they are selfish ppl who only wants to benefit themselves. So can we stop pretending like...... 1 reply
they probably don't care honestly.
i used to be a fan of a certain celebrity until i found out she endorses an online gambling app. actually, most of my favorite celebrities do.
so now i know to set the bar really low for famous people. no matter how "fun" or relatable they may seem, at the end of the day, we're viewing them through a filtered ...... 2 reply
You have to remember how men are in Korea, K-pop idols aren’t any different. It’s so bad there that women refuse to date or get married, majority of men have no respect for women, hate feminism, and are ignorant towards anything that doesn’t directly harm them. Have you seen the hate that female idols get for being suspected of being feminist...... 1 reply
After I saw this topic, I went and searched for it and saw that he hide(mute? Idk the word) the comment section on his ig post where a lot of his fans were calling him out. Not really a huge kpop fan but just a casual listener (recently really tuned into kpop bcs of kdh and found songs or groups I fuck with) and I have heard of him bcs he's from a ...... 2 reply
By your same logic, I guess me buying a Coca-Cola for my grandma is supporting Israel. Edit: in short, I don't care, my $1.50 a month for my grandmother who has raised me and taken me in is not the end all or be all for millions of lives. As if I'm the only person buying Coca-Cola or as if I'm an investor or stockholder; go bully a billionaire you ...... 8 reply
He doesn't care because he only cares about money. Also he is male so there's a big problem right there.
IN GENERAL celebrity worship is stupid as fuck and you should feel like an idiot for being a part of that. He's literally just some guy, but worse. reply
