Twin stereotypes/Twin rep in media

Summary: Twin media had a lot of stereotypes and I find most representations in twin media crappy.

I realized in media there is a lot of twin stereotypes and it can kind of be awkward as a twin myself.

Usually in media, the characters are identical twins while I'm an unidentical twin aka I don't look alike to my sibling. Ik for a fact some people don't even know that's a thing.

Like for instance how most twins in media always match, from clothes, to names, to personality to even speech, like they can't talk for themselves, and they have to act the same.

And in like smut where they have twin mls doing shit with the mc, this isn't hate against threesomes, I'm just generally confused on why you would want to fuck somedy with your sibling, but ig if its a twin it doesn't fully count bc their one person or whatever in some creators minds, or they just like twin incest who knows.

Anyways I just wished I saw better twin representation in media that didn't feel so dehumanizing in a way, or maybe I'm just being slightly overdramatic.
