i want to start writing my own webcomic & would like some info on tropes people like the most or hate the most, what tropes to avoid and what is too common :O

That sounds really badly worded but what I mean is the mc (mostly in bls) who are ALWAYS in debt, have 4 jobs, are poor, always have NO PARENTS, a sick of deceased grandma, and maybe a little sibling to look after. DID I MENTION THEY ARE POOR?

I also really like delinquents and gyarus, bonus if the delinquents only look scary and aren't actually one, and extra bonus if they love cute stuff or sweets

Hate: rich × poor, rape to love, problematic age gaps, weird power imbalances, twinkification (in the way that like the artstyle shifts rather than the character dresses different in the actual story, etc), adding unnecessary characters to get in between the mcs for a bit, repetitive misunderstanding trope, mutually toxic (complex dynamic)

I mean as long as you don't write rape, then I think that's the bare minimum toward a good story.
My fav tropes are:
1. Enemies/hate to love. Ones where they bicker a lot and don't express their true emotions but it's 100% yearning. They hate that they want each other.
2. Dumb x dumber/loser behavior. I love when the obvious just flies over the...... 1 reply
I tend to love a good slowburn, for instance the characters start out as enemies, something leads them to becoming frenemies, then after a while proper friends and then they start to fall for eachother.
I also like delinquent stories that are also tied in with the slice of life genre, it just feels so healing.
