Isn't romace a concept sold to women to get them attached(married) to a man and serve that man for the rest of their lives, to bear through their shit without getting paid a single ounce, being a mother to a grown ass man, etc. And the concept is so brain washed into women that their female friends will also say stuff like "men will be men", "trust me it gets better", "once you get into a relationship you'll feel like a mother which is a good thing". felt. I don't dislike straight romance but when you have first hand experience in something it's hard not to see how unrealistic the fictional counterpart is lol, it's difficult to immerse myself into romance because of this. reply
