What’s a BL trope that you’re sick and tired of?
I’ll start— I’ve grown to despise the “I’m only gay for you/ I don’t like men, i like you because you’re you” type of MC/ML. It’s not romantic, it’s annoying, and honestly homophobic, if the ‘straightness’ is the main charm point of your BL character. Those writers try to make you think that this means a man only fell in love because of the other dude’s personality but then you got them sticking balls-deep in butts and suckling on balls. It’s 2025, stop making BL main characters straight ffs, they gotta be at least bisexual. Is it that hard to accept that being turned on by a man’s body means they’re not straight as the fucking pole like the illustrated dicks they choke on.
Me? The basic ones actually…
1. Bastard and Asshole Semes/tops almost dark red to black flag tops like in Jinx, Painter of the Night and other toxic ones. I do not read most toxic BLs for obvious reasons.. and the sad thing is.. they are the MORE popular and known BLs.
2. the obvious Forced sex scenes where the receiving end is in pain and seme...... reply
