Is it rare for someone to be sentimental...

Nah, its just i remember things from my elementary days. I met an old friend and told him I was like "yeah of course i remember, those days were my best days." Cause i miss my damn childhood where I didn't have problems and money would just pop up magically he said "wow you're oddly sentimental didn't expect that, it's rare." Cus huuuuhhhh?? So im like asking here if its really rare for someone to just remember people , and those like happy moments and cherish them. Asking cus it's shocking abit to me
