I think it's not that hard to understand. I won't deny the misogyny issues within the sphere of Yaoi consumers but the primary reason why Yaoi is way more popular than Yuri has to do with attraction. (Sometimes internalised misogyny can be too)

Sure it play a role especially in publishing stories but I think also there's just less of a market for Yuri in general and it's a less visible genre so the communities are smaller and nicher. reply
