wtf's ur fav/hated trope?
What's ur favorite and most hated trope?
My fav is when the MC gets misunderstood or mistaken as someone they're not. It can be that other people think the MC may be overpowered than they actually are, or that they have a false identity or something.
And my most hated? Sorry not sorry, but Dark Romance with a romanticized brooding, cold ML pmo. Even in any form may it be straight, yaoi, or yuri. Idgaf, get it the fuck away from me, preferably out of my 10 mile radius.
I used to eat that shit up but now I'll only give it a passing glance if the motherfucking thing has one of the greatest plot in existence of literature.
if we're not only talkin about romance but in general then my favourite will always be found family, esp when tired sad man acquires kids against his will but ends up loving them more than anything!!
most hated has to be when ml is obsessed with mc to the point of being jealous even of their friends and therefore wants to monopolize them. reply
My fav is the flirty bottom and clingy/shy top
My hated trope is anything that has to do with sexualizing family members and/or children
For example, step brothers having sex or someone having sex with their father figure/guardian

Hear me out.. denial phase. I absolutely love it when MC denies their feelings, even avoiding the other party until they get all frustrated and confront them. IT NEVER GETS OLD. The confrontation, sighing, the annoyance, and then BOOM the soft look begging the MC. reply
Favourite would be slow burn, angst or a trope which goes like, the ML and FL share a dynamic which is very ambiguous, no commitment, nothing sexual but when they're in the same room, or interact or talk about each other, everyone around them knows what's up. Hated trope right now would be Romance that starts with pregnancy, Fixing him trope which ...... reply
I absolutely hate this specific trope (exes to lovers), there's also this one (love triangle) especially if the characters are related. This is just my personal opinion.
For my fav tropes the most popular one (enemies to lovers) and I don't mean by this a slight rivality or the protagonists will make up after few chapters, what I want to see is a ...... reply
Actually two exes getting together trope. Where they were specifically both betrayed. There is something so satisfying about putting some cheating bastard into place.
