What would you do if your friend is... Being suicidal?
My first asking a question here. So, one of my close friends recently has been showing signs of suicidal thoughts.. or just giving up on life. I've been trying to comfort him and being sympathetic with him (genuinely) but it seems like it isn't working. He's the type of person who like, wants to stay on his "Happy-go-lucky" and "therapist" architype, and also a writer. I'm afraid that his own thoughts would do harm on him someday. I'm asking here because no one but me knows about his situation, and this site feels...very secure(?) with identities..

I would start with advice, then the suicide hotline and finally call adult protective services.
Where I am they can take people into mental health facilities involuntarily for 72 hrs if they are reported a suicide risk. reply
