So I live in a very conservative, Muslim country. Literally almost everyone here is homophobic. No one knows that I read BL. My parents would probably be shocked to the cire and kick me out or beat me to death the moment they found out I’m reading about two guys fucking. They’re planning to get me married off next year to some random guy, and I’ve kind of just accepted it as my fate , but the real problem starts after that.
I’m seriously worried about whether I’ll still be able to read my yaoi or not, because I’m obsessed with it. I don’t think I can ever live without it. And I have no idea how my future husband would react if he finds out, since we’ll basically be together 24/7. Honestly, this shit scares me more than Allah.
Is it just me, or has anyone else ever felt like this? And is there anyone married whose husband is a homophobe but still doesn’t care if you read about two guys fucking? Or is it even possible to keep reading without them ever finding out? I really need some help and advice.
You should protect your devices by locking your phone with a strong password, keeping your BL in hidden apps or disguised folders like “notes” or “recipes,” and using incognito mode or separate accounts whenever possible plan private time to read, like when you’re alone in your room with headphones in, and if possible, consider a tiny sec...... reply

As a daughter of a conservative parents, I know how you're scared to be found out, ( I got found out though and it was scary asd) So in order for them to not suspect me reading Yaoi (again), I always read at incognito, download an app that is a normal calculator but actually a hidden app that can hide your documents or videos, pictures and etc. If ...... reply

i dont know your financials so take this with a grain of salt but having a separate device you can read on more in private would probably do you well. if you have a job that requires you to work on a laptop you could definitely set something up on it and read on there.

I was married to another guy by my parents too and luckily for me (or not so lucky, really), my husband was an old man — so he never really checked my phone and I kept it a secret till the end.
