Not sure if this movie counts as pretentious but sleep away camp 1983. This movie was allegedly made to be transphobic propaganda and completely flopped in that department and became a hit within the lgbtq community. I knew nothing of this before watching the movie and honestly thought if anything this movie was meant to be in favor of gender ident...... reply
Ooh cool a Bergman mention! As much as I love movies, I haven't watched anything from him lol. But I'm aware of his stature in world cinema and among cinephiles.
