Are top characters in BL always drawn attractively?
Have you ever thought why in BL the top characters always so attractive, like they always have the most ideal looking visual in men. Meanwhile, that's not always the case for the bottoms. I've seen a lot of bottom characters that considered not as attractive or plain-looking. And even if the bottom was supposed to be the most beautiful man in their universe, the top is still very decent looking. I think I never see an ugly top or is there....???
every romance lead is attractive, even in the straight stories because of beauty standards. while the mc isn't supposed to be the main object of attraction mostly. reply
Omg it's heteronormative? No way! (It's like straight comics where there's a plain main character and there is a dream guy, supposedly supposed to be easy for a self-insert with a fantasy man, And a lot of BL even though not every single one, is authored/drawn by women)
