Is this just me?
Lately I’ve been super picky in what I read. If something has bad translations, or slightly off, I drop it. Bad quality? Dropped. Bad art? Dropped. If the plot isn’t interesting, like, if Im not 100% engaged, dropped. Idk I feel like I can’t read anything these days and I’m getting more and more frustrated. I keep rereading stuff I like to help with the boredom but you can only do that so many times.
Facts, i feel the same way. And i was literally rereading last night before i tried a new story today…i dropped it . I think we just tired of the same stuff. And not in troupes but in the same content constantly being shown in the same troupe. For example, in bl, there’s the bottom in debt and the ceo/alpha who gets them out of it. lowk recently i havent been able to start new at all. most of them are literally just the same overused tropes in different fonts. its more fun reading mangas bc theyre shorter, characters have interesting personalities, theyve got more unique plots too imo. 2 reply
