rant but i hate when i see tiktoks abt someone who’s most likely rich and is like shocked bc a homeless person decided to be rude to them and didn’t want their sandwich. they act like it’s such a crime for someone who has lost EVERYTHING to be mean. like OMFG !!!! and everytime, when i go in the comments all i see is everyone agreeing with them and calling homeless ppl « rude » bc they don’t accept your $1 sandwich
damn girl you’re so rich and selfish. the way they donate or try to help people just to have something in return, it means a lot abt them. i don’t get why people look down on others so much. who would even be happy to live in the streets ?? they don’t owe you anything, if they want to be rude then let them and you walk away. there’s NO need to make a storytime, it’s literally giving white saviour syndrome. same thing when they say they don’t give money to homeless ppl bc they will buy drugs or alcohol. girlll why do u care sm hello like you wouldn’t do drugs if u were hopeless and in the streets
I get you also, controlling what they buy is against their freedom but I just don’t get the concept of needing pleasure. If a person is homeless I think it would be the last thing to think the pleasure… I mean they would think abt how to get out of the situation, think abt a warm bed or food.( Of course I cannot understand how they really feel ) You can get tons of pleasure outside of addiction yeah for homeless people that could be hard to find but addiction doesn’t equal yo pleasure; in fact its temporary. Thats makes it actually concerning. İt pulls you to do bad. I’m not talking abt “oh drugs are really bad for your health” it seriously messes you. Instead of hanging of every coin to escape that situation they spent it every bit on drugs and that causes them -in long term- to continue being on streets ill think abt in your perspective. They are homeless people so they are hopeless and bc of that they can get drugs in order to feel good. What’s gonna happen when they are out of it? They are gonna buy it again and then when they are out again? Buy it again…. The cycle never ends and they cannot get out of the situation. At the beginning they were homeless. Now they are addicted and homeless. What could get even worse?
I get you, even if they decide to be addicted that will be their choice. So that could be also a possibility of freedom of choice. However when their choices affects others lifes that should be controlled. Its not out business to control others whether they do drugs or not but when it starts affect the other people who don’t choose the choices that they choose… that’s a different story.
Girl some of them are really annoying tho, making up some random scenarios and filming the innocent homeless people in order to get more attention and views… it’s actually sickening… nobody would want That food if someone does that
I get why they dont give actual money tho. They don’t give actual money its not bc they care abt them. People with addiction can be very dangerous , at some point they can even harm sb bc they need the drugs or alcohol. Giving them money is just allowing their addiction to continue and possibly harm others. And people also die bc overdose on the street so some people dont want their act of kindness be the death of someone. You dont know these people, they are free to buy whatever they desire, sure, im not against it but what if they gave their kids the drug that they bought with the money that someone else gave it to as a act of kindness? Those kids don’t deserve it. Instead of giving money , asking them what they need like , food, blankets pants jacket… would be the best thing to do. Tho I agree with you. Those influencers do that just for clout. Helping someone is a blessing but I personally think that it should bot be brought to social media. Its not ethical to post someone in their most vulnerable moments just for views and money. Although I saw a few rich influencers giving out foods but I never saw the 1$ sandwiche one what’s their @?
no i get that, but it’s like you have a sort of… control on what they can buy, and what they can’t. everyone and even urself would end up in a hard addiction, because you’ve lost everything, ppl are rude, look down on you and you still feel hope ? girl.. hell no.. so that’s why i don’t like when rich ppl are just controlling what a homeless person can buy or not, you cannot decide what they need or want. give and be kind, that’s the only thing you should do.
i understand that yeah they can die from it etc, but let’s be realistic, if they could they wouldn’t even do drugs, it’s the last resort and the last thing they have the control over, so yeah you MIGHT give them money for them to fall in their addiction again, or you might help them out. give and hope for the best, they are humans too, they deserve pleasure, even if it’s bad from them.
ofc it’s best to ask them what they want first instead of just giving money, but if they only want money, they refuse food, blankets, etc. then so be it, money.
it wasn’t someone who spoke english and i can’t remember who it was but the girl was so shocked cuz the homeless person threw her sandwich in the trash. im not saying it’s okay to throw food away but it’s understable,
