ik it probably is. stupid question. i just want validity at this point cause my perspectives are fucked up and i think everything is just normal now. my fam usully laughs at me when i tell them things that happens to me and that includes losing friends and getting sexually harassed by a stranger, laughing as if im such a joke for overreacting. so really, now idrk what's wrong or right. i dont want to ask anyone close to me. i just need a yes or no so i can be at ease. validity whore and all (づ￣ ³￣)づ

NO simple answer is NO. If your brother is doing this when he's drunk then i think it might be a sign that he's abusive not just to you but later if he gets a partner or if he has one now, he could do this to her as well and it could get serious and turn into domestic violence. Being use to a repetitive situation or occurrence is perfectly normal. Your family laughing or making a joke of your traumatic experiences is not in my opinion.

I fight with my brother all the time, but if you are not playing and your brother is violently hitting you and you don't like it, that is not okay and NOT NORMAL. As for your family, it is VERY WRONG that they laughed at you losing friends and getting sexually harassed by a stranger. They shouldn't laugh but they should instead be very concerned......... reply
