recent manga site purge
has anyone else been seeing videos on social media about lots of manga sites like mangago being take down for piracy violations and stuff? it’s been a lot more rampant lately and i’m horrified of it happening here. does anyone actually know the chances of that happening, or what constitutes a site being taken down? i have like 6 years worth of manga/webtoons saved on here and would be literally devastated if anything happened to this site it’s my lifeline
Sites wouldn't get taken down if people stopped talking about them online and stayed quiet people can whine about how "a site isn't going to be taken down because it's been up for so long" all they want but we have seen it happen over and over again reply
As far as i know mangago is quite safe but no illegal site is ever safe. This site was almost on the verge of being taken down during the whole POTN thing. What’s amazing is there is one SUPER SIMPLE way to protect this site. Which is just keeping our mouths shut, be gatekeeping final boss. That WONT happen if people would just gatekeeo for gods sake. Those people on tiktok who keeps posting shit about the sites saying "can we just —blah blah blah" what they're doing is just bringing even MORE attention to the sites and the comments don't help too cuz it's either they comment something like "I'm gatekeeoing Nuh uh" and then the repl...... 1 reply
I think if anything does happen, mangago should make it so only users with existing accounts can access the site, with no new accounts allowed and nobody without an account. Cs people keep posting other sites and getting them taken down, and it’s really pissing me off. 2 reply
More than the purge I despise the People celebrating the purge like it's some god forsaken retribution. They think their manhwa is the only one worth the piracy?
