would you be friends with someone who has different views?
i’m curious bc i know this person who has completely different views than i do and they recently posted about how different political views doesn’t mean mean we still can’t be friends but their views in general (not just political but also on issues like racism etc.) are way too different to mine. i just wanted to know if it’s bad to drop friendships/relationships based on different views since i know everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and such
If they're bigots, drop them. Otherwise there is no problem being friend's with people who have different beliefs. It would be ignorant to outright dismiss someone for having different views to your own. It's the ignorant bigots who act that way, no reason to do the same. If everyone had the attitude of refusing to listen to other's beliefs, slaver...... reply
