Bro im ngl like I do feel sorry for the bato refugees but I’m so nervous that this site is next and I feel like if it goes down it’s gonna be their fault. I personally never used bato but I literally always saw it being talked about online like their community did not even try to hide it whatsoever so I feel like if those same people migrate over to this site the same thing is gonna happen and I NEED this site bro. Like I feel like 99% of the community on here knows how important gatekeeping is like I feel like we even take just our site being mentioned by the mango emoji somewhere seriously but bato got shut down not once but TWICE because people wouldnt stop sharing the new site name. Ngl I feel like the only way for this website to survive is if they only allow users with accounts to login and access the site. Like you can’t even access the front page without logging in.
And when ppl try making accounts it needs to take a while, the same way they do for ao3.
