As many know or don't know yet, the operator for Bto has been arrested. Don't fear, mgg isn't their next target. It's mgdex. Anyways this further confirms that there aren't going to be bto anymore. It's officially shut down.
Japanese government is investing a lot of money in developing an Ai that will be targeting piracy sites. It might also let them know where the stolen works are being distributed. It's still in development but give it 1-2 years .
mangadex being targeted seems odd? like they operate entirely in the grey zone of scanlation (which is pretty straightforwardly against copyright law but publishers have some use for to figure out what to license for different markets as long as scanlators play the game of taking down licensed works, etc.), they comply with dmca takedowns by publis...... 1 reply
