What type of anime adaptations do you guys like more? A faithful one or a experimental one?
I enjoy faithful adaptations but a lot of experimental adaptations have surpassed the source material and i think it should be something at least thought of when adapting mangas. Anime as a medium allows for things that manga doesn't and vice versa so i think the best adaptation is something that can be both faithful to the plot but somewhat its own thing
I want want where they give a fuck. They be fixing every shonen mangaka's same face syndrome but doing a cheap ass job on shoujos and slice of life adaptations reply
Experimental but when they lean into the comedy rout. It’s mostly just changing the voice acting to be different from source material but I love when they do that(ex. ghost story’s, Gachiakuta)
If they stray from source material plot wise, it has to be because the actual plot is absolute buns, otherwise make it a faithful adaption. reply
Faithful adaptation, experimental barely works cus I'm sorry but the FNAF movies SUCKS. It's not even scary, also the part 2??? Bro what was THAT. It clearly was experimental. Call me insane but I wish the crying kid bite happened more graphically. Wtf do I care about the kids fans It's horror anyways, why are we having it friendly! Believe it or ...... reply
I kinda want to see what they were trying to do with Tokyo Ghouls season two with kaneki joining aogiri tree but properly
I feel that could have been a good season if they leaned into the experimental side of it
The way they went about it was ddg(doo doo garbage) and they could have did better with cleanly transitioning in re reply
depends but most of the time I want a faithful one cause sometimes when they adapt an expiramental kind, they rip the concept out and basically made their own OC's but has a popular IP name slapped on their heads although if adding a little scene like that Naoya meme or changing a boring or racist or predatory subplot I think it's fine
