Female Leads in Smut Manga
I’ve read lots of manga with smut and I’ve come to realize something very jarring. Why does the FL always act like she dislikes sex? Screaming things like, “Stop! It’s embarrassing! Don’t look at me!”. Not to mention if you look at the covers of said smut the FL always has a fearful look on her face. You’d think she was being sexual assaulted, but when the act is over, she has a happy look on her face. If the FL doesn’t seem into it, how are we, the reader, supposed to be? And the FL never wants the ML seeing her naked despite them having sex multiple times.
It's the Madonna-wh*re complex. Women are either pure, angelic, paragons of virtue or horny sl*ts. A virtuous woman is highly desired as a partner in the long term(especially in asian countries) so she has to cling desperately to her virtue and not desire anything of a carnal nature. She must want to hide her body and keep herself pure in every way...... reply

I would take this with a grain of salt, but I have heard some stories from foreign men who were in the act with Asian women and had them say similar things, only to get confused when the guys actually did stop. If that’s the case it is…extremely dangerous since that makes consent between partners really blurry. Again take this shit with a grain...... 2 reply
