i recently started having month long periods i am a little overweight and last time i had a blood test it said i had imbalance of hormones is ,it to do with my weight? i need a bit of help as doctors are bs
if you haven’t already I recommend going to an obgyn and seeing if they can get you something for the imbalance, or they can refer you to an endocrinologist (as hormones are their specialty). usually they prescribe birth control for hormone imbalances. I know stress can cause similar very long periods but it could be an indication that something is wrong. I highly doubt that being a little overweight has anything to do with it.
i had this issue too although i wasn't overweight and tbh i dont think it has to do with your weight but what i did was i went to a gp and they prescribed me norethisterone which stopped the bleeding then force started a regular period cycle a few days after which seemed to fix the issue

I had this issue and the nurse said it was my weight but I don’t remember if I lost weight or I just changed my diet
