See an 18y/o is still the same person they were the months prior as 17. I saw 18yos as babies at 20 so I couldn't imagine being 23 and feeling okay w dating one. If the age gap was with both in their 20s it wouldn't feel off imo
Im biased tho, bc ive around that age gap w my sibling and can see first hand in how different points in life we are reply
It's iffy in my opinion but i guess it really depends, if the 18 is like newly 18 then for me personally it's disgusting but if like 18 turning 19 it's less weird but I am just 19 so maybe when I'm 23 I'll find it weirder reply
In this context? Personally? Absolutely not. The brain doesn't finish developing until mid-to-late 20's. I'm someone in their early 20's (not judging if this is about you), and I personally couldn't look at an 18 y.o. as anything other than a child still. They still have so much to learn about themselves and the world.
I get that an 18 y.o. is tec...... reply
For me personally, nope. Wait 2 years more, make it 20 and 25, then i think its more appropriate. I mean.. the 20 y.o will have their young adult brain that (should) understand consequences and (should) not being controlled by the older party, esp in decision making. reply
as someone who was in this exact scenario, it is WEIRD. when i was 18 i found it super flattering like omg this person thinks i’m mature!
then when I turned 23 I thought hmm…i’m in my last year of college, what business do i have with someone who’s just finished (or might still be in!!) college?? there’s very little overlap between our i...... reply
I think it's okay if conditions like holistic wellness aren't taken advantage of (especially by the older one), no abnormal weird justification, and boundaries getting respected (with cognitive development in mind!).
to be for real, this is waaaay better than someone I know who is going out with a pubescent child, with firm justification that thei...... reply
Wait I got personal experience that was the age gap of my first 3some LMAO, I was 18 they were both 23
It was an odd experience because the guy graduated college with a full time job and the girl was still in school I was personally a broke college student without a car…lol
You can tell a gap was there so It was odd but not as strange as ppl are...... reply
If this is real life then 18 and 23 are already on a different part of their life, older guy graduated university already and the other is just starting. Its icky for the older person to be dating someone who is barely an adult, being 18 doesn't necessarily mean you're automatically thinking like an adult. Same with 23 and a 28 years old. The 23 ye...... 2 reply
5 years age gap is nothing and normal between adults in real life. I'm dating someone 8 years older than me. I just like my men older.
The problem (for me) here is that the youngest is only 18.
There is a difference between 27 and 32, and 18 and 23
The 18 years old is technically an adult, so they could do what they want, but it's a bit weird for...... reply
