wisdom teeth removal experience???
hey guys so i’m freaking the fuck out because i need to get my wisdom teeth taken out. i’ve been putting it off but now it’s to the point where the pain is something i cannot ignore. but i’m absolutely TERRIFIED of 1. the thought of surgery being done IN MY MOUTH 2. i’ve heard there’s a hella lot of bloody aftercare that comes afterwards and i’m horrified of blood to the point where i can pass out bcuz of it. & 3. (this is more of a personal thing) i vape and i heard you can’t vape for the entire time it heals otherwise you get dry socket, which sounds like a fucking nightmare. so idk how i’d go abt that except for sucking up and dealing with withdrawals. but anyways, can anyone share their experience with wisdom teeth removal??? was it really that bad or am i overreacting?
After care isn't that bad i thought “oh no my precious various choices of food” but sticking with chocolate ensure for a week or two wasn't that hard at all. Please do not smoke or drink alcohol during healing so yea you're gonna have to deal with withdrawal. Worst part of after care is not being able to spit but i promise you'll get through it...... reply
I have had all my wisdom tooth pulled at various points in my life. They hurt the most when they were impacted/infected. Once pulled, the pain was gone. I don't remember there being blood but they had to use alot of numbing treatment on me because it's hard to put me under. I remember only one of them was really bad and was grossed to see afterward...... 1 reply
I was born with only three wisdom teeth and I had them removed summer of 2019. On the right side of my mouth my bottom wisdom tooth was visible whereas my left sides were still under the gums. My dentist didn't put me under (idk why they didn't but it was a quickish operation) They numbed the ever living crap out of my mouth and I could feel and he...... reply
It's a fairly minor surgery, but make sure you get it done by a proper oral surgeon and not a general dentist, as they have more experience and training for this. The blood was minimal after I took out the gauze plugs post procedure.
You'll be on soft foods for at least a week probably. I highly recommend getting some ice cream! The cold will fee...... reply
I think not being able to vape is the least of your issues lol. No but all jokes aside I only needed two on the bottom of my mouth removed and aside from it being a bit sore at times and your jaw hurting a bit (which goes away after taking the pain meds the doctor prescribed), and only being able to eat soft foods, it's alright.
Also you gotta watc...... 1 reply
