Burning urges

Ok I cook and bake because I like it, but I have this thing where when the stove is hot enough to burn i put my arm around it purposely to get burnt and its like a urge I have everytime im near the stove cooking to just place my arm there and get burnt, and I lwk need help on what I should do to prevent these urges do I wear sleeves when I cook? Try not to cook? Idk any recommendations help ig
