What’s ur opinion on Nii-Chan?
I know it’s a pretty controversial manga… also why did it get removed from this site? I just gave it a reread, I loved it in 2020 and I still love it now. As someone who experienced csa and Stockholm syndrome, I love reading csa media and I feel like Nii-Chan is prob one of the best written ones out there.
I feel like a lot of ppl argue that it’s romanticized bc the abuser and the victim actually end up in a relationship, and view ther relationship as “normal”. But that shit really happens irl, so I don’t get why depicting that makes it romanticized. Also I heard that it’s also considered romanticized bc it had intimate scenes but I’d argue that there’s a contrast in all the intimate scenes, the scene where Yui was a child was not a very detailed scene in comparison to when Yui and Kei r actually tg and it’s far more detailed. I think it reflect the shift in their dynamic, although their relationship is still fucked up I think it’s interesting.
I also wanted to bring up the intimate scenes bc ppl called Harada a shotacon bc of the rape scene when Yui was a child… but it wasn’t even detailed, so im confused on how she’s a shotacon for that and the scene that depicted Kei’s experience w csa also wasn’t detailed.
Harada does gloss over a lot of topics in her works which is very questionable, but I haven’t seen any evidence for the accusation of her being a shotacon beyond Nii-Chan… which doesn’t even romanticize csa so I just want to know if there’s any actual substance behind that accusation besides Nii-Chan?
Because it's CP, mods removed all of those here. My opinion is that Harada is NOT a good "psychological" author like most people say, specially that manhwa. I've done research on CSA, interviewed victims and everything. They did not portray the victim in a "awareness" way. It was just porn. It romanticized CSA for most parts, If I remember right th...... 2 reply
It’s gross. I find you gross for enjoying it, sorry that happened to you though, hope you’re getting help and learn better ways to cope instead of reading and enjoying child porn. Though unfortunately Ive seemed to notice most people who went through stuff like you did as a kid grow up to be pedophiles. It’s a fucked up system we live in wher...... 1 reply
Why ni chan shouldn’t be understood as a well written child sa story. From the start, the older guy was grooming the victim which made the victim think that his validation is valid while he was growing up. Sure he feels some sort of resentment but the friend “supporting” him on the side and not trying to help him seek ACTUAL help is a no go. ...... 1 reply
If not for this topic being raised I wouldn't even know there was a CP wipe lmao and I'm a frequent user too. Anyways about Harada and Nii-chan, I honestly don't hate them. I'll be the naysayer coz it's very lopsided to opposition here. I don't think Nii-chan is romanticised but it's not "realistic" either -- never a good depiction, material or ref...... reply
