Sub all the way, I always watch in the original language. Dubbing here in Italy sucks (sorry) especially for animes, idk they sound very cringey and they sound all the same to me, and most of the time I feel like the voice doesn't suit the character like at all. Dub all the way, unless I don't have another choice. Reading subtitles while watching just makes me less immersed in the story. Most dubs are high-quality anyway, and you can pick up emotions just as well in either. Plus, I lowkey hate those squeaky, high-pitched girls' voices in Japanese. They make my ears hurt, and they sound like little kids. An...... reply
Totally depends. I usually prefer dub, but when it's bad, it's bad and I'd rather sub. For the most part, I work with whatever's available on Netflix :P reply
A lot of people only prefer sub because they’re adding their own interpretations as they read. A lot of times it has nothing to do with how well the sub VAs are. reply
Sub. Japanese have better lip sync and it sounds more normal with Japanese voices. Sometimes English dubs will also change the story (remember Sailor Moon, Yugioh and Digimon?!). And I actually like how I learned some Japanese while watching anime.

Sub all the way. Only because Dub can be wayy too cringy and not all animes have a Dub so there's a lot of good underrated ones that'll never get one. 1 reply
