I'm so curious about Mangago like..
How the hell did it appear? How old is this site? Who discovered it first? Why is it called mangago? Do mods even existed here? Why does the manga recommended every end of chapters was always some super old manga that was uploaded like 12 years ago with less than 5 comments?? Why do they spell hiatus as hitaus?? Not only that, the coding done was kinda outdated that even some emoji couldn't load..I'm so curious and it's 1 am right now I can't sleep without finding out all this

It was created in January 2011. There were basically only Japanese manga on this site. Many of them scanned from physical copies, but there were also famous tl groups. Everyone was minding their own business, they didn't write up TED talks in the comments section lecturing each other.

i actually originally read on mangago, then moved to bato, and now im back LOL
ngl i think peak mangago was in the pandemic so a lot of the top manga are those that were top around then. if i had to make a complaint about the site is that you cant filter like top based on the last month / last year, etc so its harder to find fresh reads reply
