why do you like shota?
I'm just curious about why exactly people like shota. I still read it but I only read it when I want to make myself feel hella disgusted. what's so good about shota? ik kids are cute but why kids in a sexual situation? you can find cute kid mangas without there being anything sexual so what about shota do you specifically like?
Well, I like it most because it helps me to deal with dysphor1a and with some traumas I have. Shotas are so cute, they fit in any dynamic, makes everything better and, above all, they're not real. I'm not hurting real children by reading shota, and I know the difference between them. 2 reply

I wouldn't say I like the shota genre, but I do read shota occasionally. Mainly because I tend to focus on things I want/like in manga and ignore things that would bother me (like the character's age making me want to call the cops if irl).
I also don't really worry about ethics or morality when reading fiction - I've watched a couple Fast&Furious...... reply
I don't lol, although there will be the occasional younger looking character I like. Amane from "Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun" is an example but his body is teenage and mentally he doesn't act like a kid.
