Current state of korean webtoons is going downhill?
Hi y'all, this is an opinion based question. Anyone else feel that the quality of korean yaoi manhwa rn is going downhill? Many promising starts and then both plot and art go downhill from there and tend to end of unfinished or unresolved notes. Thoughts and reasons?
Imo this is partly attributed to the distribution of webtoons, in the format where one chapter is much shorter than a typical manga, and most operate in a pay per chapter state. This makes each chapter kinda clickbaity at times so you'll pay more and buy more. Hence dragging out the plot and ruining pacing.
Also is there a lack of traditional editors like in typical manga where the mangaka reviews the flow, storyline and plot before publishing?

and its not just yaoi manhwa, im thinking that the whole webtoon community is slowly going downhill because most of the classics has ended and the new ones are poorly advertised. Still, there are amazing ones out there like True Beauty, unOrdinary, Tower of God and so much more.ヾ(☆▽☆)
But in my opinion, after thes...... reply
