Anybody else get hooked to manga/manhwa, shii gets really Interesting then towards the end, it gets too predictable so u don't wanna read it no more? I feel lowkenuinely guilty if I don't complete it but also I don't wanna complete it. It's like u eating your favourite food but u are full after eating only quarter.
You are not alone, I've abandoned more stories than i have completed them, most of the time near the end of them too. I get bored too easily and stories are mostly never engaging enough that I feel a strong need to commit till the end (either that or I'm easily displeased by something that happened in it and drop). I used to feel bad about it but now i just don't care, I enjoy the ride and not the destination! Also, dare I say, I think one piece of explanation to the phenomenon we are subjected to could be overconsumption of stories ? Personally, I'm always reading like 30 stories at the same time, because we have basically unlimited access to thousand of stories, it's easier to drop one when it's not engaging to try the next story. Another explanation to me is pacing, if it's done bad it can kill even the most phenomenal plot.

Also PAUSE did u just say ONE PIECE
Oh I did never read it or seen it and I won't, too much commitment
Understandable but I got swept up in the trend and read the manga instead. I don't think I can watch 1k episodes ong
For me it's less guilt and more "I've waisted too much time on this shit, I WON'T be beaten by this awful writing"
I should convert to that then
Honestly u sound cool af
I've dropped soo many stories <10 chapters from the finish line just because I feel like I'm getting trope poisoning.
That's an interesting word. Imma hold onto tht
Trope poisoning. Nice, imma borrow the term.
Get in line Tonikaku
