What are harmless tropes you dislike?
I'm starting to really dislike the trope of a person taking over another person body. The more I read about it the more icky I find it, obviously the person body is just a plot device but all I can think is how horrible it would be for my own body to be taken over by someone who uses it as they please like for sex it's low-key rapey as hell (not saying that's what the authors are trying to portray or even considered when writing just my own feelings). I just end up feeling bad for the person that died and never had a chance to be better or loved.
I absolutely hate the trope where the tomboy FL suddenly becomes girly after meeting the ML. It genuinely rubs me the wrong way. At first, it felt meaningful, like a person discovering a new side of themselves through love. But now it is so overused that it just annoys me. dumb tropes like when they keep chasing each other and whenever one of them confess the other rejects the confession for NO REASON. it pisses me off so bad cuz where are we going, what’s the plan…. either they get together or they change partners

ugly men as romance leads WAIT HEAR ME OUT!!! its never an ugly woman. most of the time its about some ugly or bland bum dating a coolass hot gf who loves him regardless. the expectations for men are so low while women have to be pretty and smart and talented and 4 reply
1. Villains getting redemption arcs, joining the MC's side then either becoming fucking useless deadweight or heavily weakened
2. Love triangles where two people like one person who then has to choose between them; I prefer love triangles where it's A loves B, B loves C, C loves A or even polyamorous relationships, where all three love each other ...... 3 reply
The '2nd ML' trope, it's frustrating and make me drop the story almost everytime.
They will create a kind and sweet 2nd ML who will basically sacrifice everything for the mc's hapiness and protect them, but of course He will never end up with the mc because the place is already reserved for the stereotypical powerful and obsessive Ml

I hate it so much when a strong woman character who can fight just has a battle with some random extra or an above average character and that's all she gets. Then a man saves her when an actual character comes to fight her. Like....let her stand up for herself like all of those shounen mcs who are like "I'll never give up blah blah" and win with a ...... reply
Actually all reincarnation genres suck now they’re all reheating the same nachos from 2019 and somehow they even got the same backgrounds like pls idgaf at least some of them tried to make it more interesting by reincarnating as a fucking mushroom or fish or smth

Platonic relationships turning romantic (especially between men and women).
Like, can I just have a story where they remain comrades for life? Do they REALLY need to be attracted to each other? I dip out of any story that turns a quality platonic relationship into a romantic one. 2 reply
I hate when an author makes the uke the older one, but doesn’t make them look visibly older in any way, it sucks out all the fun in having an older uke. when the seme is the older one, they’ll often put effort into making him look older which is great, but why not the same for the uke? at least some eye bags, glasses, maybe some grey hair, some...... 2 reply
