What do you HATE in stories?
If anyone reads these kinds of stories or any stories you genuinely feel UGH-Ed by, feel free to message me. We should vent and let it out to each other, I notice I feel better when I share how I hate this story and stuff…
For me, I hate cheating. I’d rather be ran over by a truck (even better if isekai-ed) than excuse a cheater, and read the old school yaoi cheating + 10 Years I Loved You the Most/Decade of Deep Love, Their Night of Indulgence (might have said title wrong but it’s where the MC was cheated on by his ML, they were together for 10+ years, it hurt more because the ML was genuinely caring towards MC compared to the guy from Decade of Deep Love, so I questioned myself why? Even MC wondered if it’s possible to love two people at the same time—and thats possibly why ML cheated. Ugh…it sucks also because the annoying side piece never got consequences.)
I genuinely might have been emotionally scarred by the cheating stories, emotionally scarred. I wrote it twice, I have been psychologically affected too huh. It doesn’t help that I’m looking for a person like Sakurai Atsushi (rest in peace..). I’ll never reread those again. It was so sad I remember crying over my first Chinese story, they are really good at making you angry and sad. But I love the face slapping stories in danmei, usually I only have Japanese version for all comics and maybe some English to help me study further/to retain English language, but it’s my first time recently buying physical copies of danmei (not the cheating ones).
I’m not religious but pray for my emotional health.

Traumatic events being brushed off as if nothing happened it was just a little drama to add shock value and is then left unaddressed. It's so lameeeeee I hate repetitive shit too. I also hate when background characters are underutilised in stories.. Like it's okay to have the main characters connect with more people than the main romantic interest ...... 2 reply
Smut that goes for like 15 chapters followed by 2 chapter plot. I do enjoy reading explicit stories but sometimes its way overdone specially in manhwa. Or when they shoul be talking about their issues and sorting out their feelings for each other after a major arc but no let's go straight to sex and never talk about how you lied to me ┑(￣Д �...... reply
I srsly HATE when they make the Mc someone who has zero personality sucks at everything and then just make the ml someone that's some how the definition of perfect and thats like his only personality being perfect and good at everything it pisses me off so bad omgg reply
When the ML literally pursues the MC and then after dating for years decides he cannot be gay. YOU were the one that said being friends was not enough. And then the MC takes the ML back after he wasted everyone’s time. It wasn’t even a year, but 10 years to figure this shit out. He gets to go back home, no consequences. Just strangle me

Okay, I'm gonna list few concepts that I DON'T LIKE/IRRITATES ME the most in some stories that I've actually read.(RANDOM ORDER)

i mainly read straight romances be it historical or modern and one thing i've noticed is how the female villain (sometimes even the female lead) get treated. the fate of the villainess is always three things: get forced to marry an old man, be trafficked into prostitution, or get raped and all of these are justified just because of how mean the vil...... 2 reply
More like I’m annoyed than hate. I’m seriously cringe when someone transfer to new school or new class. And the main character recognized them and started to stand up in front of the whole class, pointing at that person or act panicking. Like where is the need to do all that?!? 1 reply
What I hate in a story is when they meet and one gets the upper hand and the weak one says, I will do whatever it takes for you to keep quiet, keep this a secret......and the other friggin' dude always says screw me, let's have sex whenever I want, you must do as I say!
