They do realize gay people are not all the same; there are queer men that like wearing makeup, and there are queer men that are your average Joe. But whatever. Also, that man is super conventionally attractive; at least she could have brought up a bad-looking man.
I believe it, these authors have no interest in actually representing queer people or queer culture, we've barely get characters actually saying they're gay or bi and we used to get "I'm not gay I just like you" for the longest time

For me, it's not like that anymore. Most of the time I drop BLs that have no bi/gay characters, or I just drop them when they say "I'm not gay" even after dating a guy, but sometimes authors do it deliberately just for the character to realize they are actually gay, like, for example, "The King of Home Dating." What I'm saying is I drop BLs that have non-gay characters, and there are still a lot of BLs in my list. I agree a lot of BL authors are homophobic, but there are also a lot of authors who touch on queer experiences and care about representing queer people. I suggest you read this article.

That gay people are better fictional than irl. Mainly about looks.
Real gay men (especially when feminine) = bad, fictional gay men (rape slop) = good
I SAW THIS ON TWITTER why is there so many likes
