Talking to your dad
Ive asked way too many questions here but mangago’s community is just so helpful I cant stop asking… Anyway, so I’ve been wanting to do an exchange year and I have to talk to my dad about it. But the thing is, I barely talk to my dad, like at most I say 2 sentences to him in a day and sometimes I don’t even talk to him. It’s not like my parents are divorced its just he probably doesn’t care that much about me. Going back to the main point, how do I ask him for this without making it awkward and actually convincing him?
Get some food or snacks made by you and give it to him then just sit beside him for a while without doing anything. I think he'll ask you what do you want then start talking about it ig (works for me) 1 reply
well, you can just ask him after dinner. That is what I usually did when I need my dad to pay for my tuition fee / semester fee / student exchange program. But I also kept in mind that the amount is not ridiculously high that he rejects even before hearing the details. You know what I mean not to make ridiculous demands that exceeds family financia...... 1 reply

I'd say walk up to him. begin with smth you would usually say to him (even if you guys do talk to each other less, you've mentioned you say at most 2 sentences, say smth similar) or along the lines of a basic "hey dad can I talk to you for a sec" ...... 1 reply

I asked my dad and his main issue is with me making friends…? bro theres like 12 ppl in my class and I have a good relationship with all the girls theres and all the boys are just okay with me I have 3 close friends (2 from my school). Anyway, he said hes gonna ask my sister about it (Idk why he always asks my sister but I hope she goes o...... 1 reply
