How to avoid my cat getting depressed after my dogs death?
Yesterday we had to put my pup down which already was such a hard decision but all of today my cat has been searching for her not able to understand where she is. Is there any way i can help her so she doesn’t become depressed? She loved our dog. And getting another dog is not an option right now since we are moving in November.
I had the same situation with my cats a few years ago. Sadly, the only thing that helped was letting them explore the places the dog used to go and let them be disappointed. They will eventually realize the dog isn't coming back and will be able to move on. Other than that, the best you can do is try to play with her more often so she doesn't feel ...... 1 reply
