you dont have to understand everything to be a supportive ally. having the humility to learn and listen is tons better than invalidating ppl's identity. give yourself grace. unlearning things fed to us by a cisheteronormative society takes time bc it's just so intertwined w culture and language. even as a queer person, i still have lots of unpackin......   reply

Even if you don't notice it, you do have a sense of gender. If you were suddenly forced to act and be percieved in ways that didn't align with your current gender identity, (ie. I don't think you're a bad person, nor that you should beat yourself up for not understanding. There are just some things in the world that exist. You just have to accept. Generally speaking, my opinion is that there is no thought you can think that makes you a bad person. There are certainly thoughts that should worry you and make you seek counseling or therapy, but a bad person they do not make you.
