Will never understand "you can't hang out with (the gender they just into) "

Like, I see more of this in straight couple... I get jealousy and stuff cause everyone experiences it but wym you can't have your s/O be friends with the opposite gender? That it's just "respect" For your partner like bro no, that's controlling of their life. When people have this kind of mindset, makes me think they fall for every person they see and sees them as nothing but love interests or insecure. it's funny cus in this kind of scenario, are bisexuals or pans just supposed to stay friendless??? At the end of the day, it's literally on your partner to have boundaries and reject someone. I don't see the point of continuing a relationship either if your partner is still hanging out with someone who's obviously interested in them romantically without them fully rejecting it or doing anything about it.

I agree . Ever since I can remember, I've been told to not talk to the opposite gender and as a result, do you know who my first friend was of the opposite gender? A fucking 27 y.o. MAN. Mind you, I am 18 y.o. yeah. And i believed whatever he told me in the oretextf being "friends" since I've NEVER had a boy friend! People, normalise friends of the opposite genders or the gender they are attracted to so your children don't get enticed by weird older men who still wanna hang out with teens
