North American culture shocks from WC tourists??
I just closed out tiktok and instagram because i was experiencing major FOMO from the fact that im not out there with tickets to the world cup having the best time of my life. Feels like theres one big slumber party in North America and I wasnt invited.
I wanted to know if theres any traveling Europeans, Asians, Africans and Oceanians who are experiencing crazy culture shocks in North America bcs of the world cup right now and I wanna know all about it.
I live in the states, but I just wanted to mention how fucking happy I am seeing all this comradery and sense of community between people living here in the U.S. and those here to cheer on their counties. This type of love and togetherness between people from all walks of life is what America’s supposed to be, and it hasn’t felt this way in lon...... 2 reply
I'm watching the world cup daily as a crazy football fan and I'm also keeping tabs on all the updates and trends. Let me tell you, it's the first time in my life that I wished I was in america right now It literally feels like I'm missing out on such a wonderful and once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange. Ngl im underwhelmed my city is hosting some games and I thought it'd be more chaotic. (I might be jinxing myself tho) i do find it really cute seeing tourists exploring local spots!
Then again I do avoid the train and take a smaller bus that is known for being dangerous. ( but I always get a good seat so I idgaf ) reply
